About Te-Qu

Where street art meets streetwear. Where culture becomes commerce. Where artists reclaim their narrative.

Our Mission

Te-Qu's mission is to uplift and empower underrepresented street artists by transforming their work into high-quality, wearable art. Through ethical collaborations, conscious production, and creative partnerships, we bring authentic Chicago and Mexican-American stories to life — on shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, and more.

Community

We exist to uplift the neighborhoods, artists, and voices that shaped us. Collaboration over competition — always.

Culture

Every drop — whether a collab or Te-Qu original — reflects lived experience. We preserve, honor, and celebrate street and barrio culture through design, not trend.

Authenticity

We stay real. Our originals carry the same weight as our collabs: raw expression, true narrative, honest intent.

Empowerment

We create real opportunities for underrepresented artists to own their craft, share their stories, and grow their impact.

Respect

From ethical sourcing to creative collaboration, respect guides everything we do — for people, for art, for process.

Integrity

We honor our word, protect creative value, and do what's right — even when it's not easy.

Our Story

Born in Little Village and inspired by Pilsen, Te-Qu started with a vision: to create opportunities for local artists from neighborhoods rich in culture but often overlooked in commerce. Founder Daniel Silva combines logistics experience with street-level creativity to build a brand that connects art, apparel, and identity — using fashion as a vehicle for change.

Meet Our Founder - Daniel M Silva

Born and raised in Little Village, Chicago, Daniel M. Silva is a first-generation Mexican-American whose parents left Puebla, Mexico, and built new roots in the city to create a better life for their family. Growing up alongside his sister and two brothers, Daniel learned early the value of hard work, integrity, and community — lessons that continue to guide his life and his brand.
After graduating from Farragut Career Academy, Daniel built a decade-long career in logistics and operations — leading teams, optimizing systems, and managing large-scale supply chains. His professional success came from the same principles his parents taught him: discipline, pride, and purpose in every detail.
In 2025, He founded Te-Qu, a streetwear brand rooted in culture, community, and creative empowerment. His mission is to empower local and emerging artists to transform their work into merchandise and products that help them monetize their craft and expand their creative reach — turning Chicago’s artistic energy into opportunity.
For Daniel, Te-Qu isn’t just fashion — it’s purpose. It’s about bridging street art and entrepreneurship, honoring the culture that raised him, and creating something lasting for the next generation of creators.
